    To our stakeholders:

    I am pleased to confirm that Electrum sp. z o.o. reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • Electrum actively supports the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In our business we implemented Code of Conduct. In agreements signed by Electrum with its partners, we put in clauses connected with UN Global, we oblige our suppliers or subcontractors to follow our rules connected with Human Right (e.g. clauses which oblige to follow our Code of Conduct).

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • Electrum sp. z o.o. puts in agreements signed with its contractors and suppliers clauses which obliges them to obey our Code of Conduct. Electrum sp. z o.o. supports a disabled people - Electrum sp. z o.o. is a titular sponsor of sport events which support a disabled people. Companies providing services for Electrum employ people with disabilities. Our HR Department take actions to encourage our employees to take part in cources in order to improve their qualifications.

  • Electrum sp. z o.o. has never been accused of violating employee rights. So far, there have been no cases of harassment, discrimination or bullying, etc. Electrum supports pregnant workers, they are working on reduced hours at their request. Electrum is annually audited by independent auditor in the area of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

Labour

  • Description of the relevance of labour rights for the company (i.e. labour rights-related risks and opportunities). Description of written policies, public commitments and company goals on labour rights.

  • We are obliged to follow our Polish Labour Code, which is compatibile with international labour law. In our Code of Conduct we are obliged to provide our employees right to be free to associate. We have policies which clearly state employee rights and responsibilities and their compensation and benefits (Work Regulations and Remuneration Regulations). Each of our employees has a right to use the funds from Company Social Benefits Fund. Our policies require from our partners respect Code of Conduct.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions taken by the company to implement labour policies, address labour risks and respond to labour violations.

  • We care of the employees' health and safety by our interior regulations (e.g. Work Regulations), ISO procedures. We have our own Health and Safety Ispector who cares about our employees' health and safety who works on our construction sites.
    Electrum has a fixed remuneration framework for individual positions, depending only on professional experience. Our HR Department organizes meeting with our employees where they can give their proposals, suggestions. Existing HR policies are compliant with ISO standards and the highest standards.

  • Senior management of Electrum makes review of results (in the begining of the year) of performance of our labour policy. Annual audits conducted by independent auditors in the scope of labour right. We choose our future employees regardless gender (i.e. the position of an engineer). At the end of 2019 the company employed 31 women and 108 men. In 2019, there were no accidents at work.

Environment

  • Electrum has a written enviromental policy and a plan of managing wastes. Existing in Electrum environmental policy is compatibile with ISO and Polish regulations. Our business partners are obliged to follow this rules.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement environmental policies, address environmental risks and respond to environmental incidents.

  • Electrum is annually audited by independent auditor in terms of compliance of enviromental ISO polices. Electrum has reduced paper consumption by implementing electronic document transmission.
    The company has an employee who is responsible for enviromental aspects. Our employees are required to sort waste in Electrum's office. We monitor waste generated and transferred by recording it. We limit energy consumption by switching off electricity devices after finishing work. Electrum carried out energy audits in the other companies too.

  • Electrum has implemented a electronic transfer of documents, thank to that we minimize use of paper. Due to sorting, the amount of waste produced has decreased. In 2019, Electrum employees organized the action of cleaning the forest near the company’s headquaters. We also support the local shelter for homeless dogs and cats. Independent auditors leads audits of environmental performance according to OHSAS 18001.

Anti-Corruption

  • In our Code of Conduct we have a statements according to anti-corruption policy which are the base of our anti-corruption policy. Electrum operates on the basis of the law, including compliance with the Act on Unfair Competition.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement anti-corruption policies, address anti-corruption risks and respond to incidents.

  • By signing agreements with us, our suppliers accept our Code of Conduct - by this they are obliged to follow our anti-corruption policy. Electrum encourages Investors, Suppliers and Subcontractors to develop and implement anti-corruption policies in their companies.

  • Electrum has never been a party to corruption-related proceedings. All cases of corruption will be reported to the relevant law enforcement authorities.
