    I am pleased to confirm that Aung Naing Thitsar reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to sharing this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

    - ensure that workers are provided safe, sustainable and sanitary work facilities

  • There is an obvious progress in the area of Human Rights in the past year by the fact that the employees are given better wages for standard 8 hours-work-a-day, are offered lunch and tea-break and with all the related basic Human Rights and equal employment opportunity is open to all with respect of individual freedom, no discrimination for color, race, and religion.

    Aung Naing Thitsar's Human Resource policies and procedures are drawn in line with the Lobour principles.

    For health and safety, Aung Naing Thitsar company strictly imposes safety and prevention measures on all its employees to follow and aide-by. Health and Safety orientation in lines with safety rules and regulation are conducted with Annual First Aids training to the employees.
    Aung Naing Thitsar provides group health insurance to employees and supply First Aids Kits in all its offices and operation centers. In its production department and factories, Aung Naing Thitsar has the mini-clinic for emergency cases, injury and sickness with free of charge medical offer.
    Aung Naing Thitsar gives to tis employees full health benefits in major illness along with regular salary payment. Safety measures are ensured for the employees with necessary equipment of safety boots, safety jacket, safety glove, safety hat depending on each operational process. As for maternity leave, Aung Naing Thitsar also provides full payment leave with other charitable aids.

    Aung Naing Thitsar ensure that it abides by the Environment Conservation Law (ECL 2012) and Rules (ECL Rules 2014) as promulgated by the Ministry of Environmental Conservation and Forestry (MOECAF).

  • Aung Naing Thitsar avoids environmental damage via regular maintenance of productions processes and environmental protection system by air filter perdition room for air pollution control, by sound proof retaining wall to eliminate noise pollution in the environment and systematic storage of by-products in storing houses for effective retail sale to the local customers.

  • Being rice major manufacturing business, all the by-products of each production process are of value and of use and thus, there is no negative impact on the environment by its by-products waste. As for the dust emission out of rice cleaning, dust room is fixed right next to the production sector to prevent dust pollution in the air but filtered down in the dust room and then, dusts are carefully disposed into ground pit.

    For the good use of electricity usage in production sectors, weekly electric usage parameter is carefully and periodically monitored and maintained.

Anti-Corruption

  • Corruption and bribery is prevented in Aung Naing Thitsar by establishing the detailed process and procedures in all its business dealings. Periodic monitoring check and internal/external audit are conducted for preventing theft, corruption and bribery.
