    I am pleased to confirm that eManage Africa reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to sharing this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • All the eManage Africa staff have been trained and continue to be trained every Quarter and signed a code of conduct and an employment policy which states that, the company is committed to a diverse work environment.

    eManage Africa also have a policy which does not condone any form of harassment. The company is committed to treating all employees with respect, dignity and to provide a supportive working environment. At eManage Africa harassment of any kind is prohibited and cannot be tolerated.

    eManage Africa staff are trained and have signed an employment policy that affirms the company's commitment.

    eManage Africa plan to introduce an anonymous reporting structure for any form of harassment in 2018

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • eManage Africa intends to set up a Suggestion Box for the Reporting of any incidents that might occur anonymously.

    It’s our legal obligation to encourage equality and diversity at eManage Africa, to prevent discrimination of any nature, including: age, disability, gender, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and sex

    •eManage Africa has ensured that our staff are well equipped with all the personal protective equipment on all their duties and tasks assigned. Our key concern is safety, suitable working environment and sanitary work facilities

    •We ensure that all our staff are protected from harassment, including physical, verbal, sexual or psychological harassment, abuse or threats

  • eManage Africa have in place a human rights incident report procedure that is used to track, monitor and evaluate such incidents on quarterly basis

Labour

  • • All the eManage Africa staff have been trained on all the employment acts,labour acts and also issued with an employment policy.

  • At eManage we ensure that the company does not participate in any form of forced or bonded labour.
    At eManage Africa we ensure that our staff are aware of the guaranteed salary they will earn for their specific tasks and have also ensured that we comply with the minimum wage standards.
    We have also ensured that employment-related decisions are based on relevant and objective criteria
    We have ensured that employees have specific KPIs
    At eManage Africa we provide a medical insurance cover to ensure that all our staff are healthy and well
    eManage Africa has provided all the personal protective equipment and has always ensured that there are regular training on the use of personal protective equipment at all times

  • eManage Africa has provided polices that guide staff in all feasible instances, the organization has constantly encouraged staff to report issues and labor incidents. These reports are monitored and evaluated quarterly

Environment

  • eManage Africa believes in sustainable business and strives to be a responsible citizen and steward especially on environmental resources. We are committed to positively impacting our society and environment. More than good business, caring for our environment is also about being good stewards of common resources for future generations. We have gone ahead to implement a Green Agenda Policy that guides the company on how to conserve the environment and recycle waste material

  • eManage Africa has ensured that emergency procedures are in place to prevent and address accidents affecting the environment and human health

    eManage Africa supports and complies with the requirements of applicable environmental legislation and regulation; by minimizing our waste and reuse as well as recycling of paper, complying with the plastic ban; ensuring that all staff are responsible for switching off all lights not in use and use of Strategically placed bins to avoid littering.

    eManage Africa staff ensure use of Natural light and ventilation in place of Air Conditioning by Opening of Windows.

  • The company is guided by the Green Agenda policy and environment regulators to ensure we conserve the environment at all times in all the company activities..
    As a Records and Information Management Organization,one of the Services we offer is Destruction of Records.We have managed to recycle 97% of the paper we destruct through the use of the Pulping method of Destruction which ensures the paper is re-used 100 % of the time.

Anti-Corruption

  • eManage Africa has a zero-tolerance policy on corruption, bribery and extortion

  • eManage Africa holds quarterly trainings on anti-corruption,ways to fight and avoid corruption as well as how to report corruption to ensure that both the company and the staff are in a corrupt free zone.

  • eManage Africa has corruption incident report procedure that is used to track, monitor and evaluate corruption, bribery incidents quarterly
    Procurement is done quarterly and all suppliers shortlisted based on comparison of quotes as well as delivery and payment terms.
    All items sourced are done so from a minimum 3 supplier quotes.
