    I am pleased to submit the details pertains to Tropicoir Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd. annual Communication on Progress for the consecutive fifth year to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC),. As mentioned earlier too we have successfully updated our policies and procedures to be in line with the UNGC ten principles. This has enabled the company to share their corporate responsibility and experience with our local partners leading to further support the needs of our suppliers and customers to integrate the UNGC goals within their organizations.

    Being the Managing Director I am confident and also proud of the way Tropicoir’s employees use their skills, knowledge and experience to create value for communities. Their dedication and wholehearted enthusiasm for supporting our organizational goals and objectives has helped to make a tremendous impact on the people and communities around them. Their support has contributed significantly towards making a difference especially in preparing the next generation to join our workforce adopting environmentally sustainable work practices.

    Moreover, my team and my self give an assurance that we always try to inculcate basic knowledge on the UNGC principles among the communities thus making them to practice in their lives. The following pages are describe that the project the company has done during the period of 216/2017 relating to the principles of the UNGC.

    Further we aim to manage ourselves in a more sustainable way, in keeping with our commitment to the UNGC 10 principles.

  • The company renew its Environmental Protection License yearly. Further the company adhere to the Global Impact Principles as required. Plan to mitigate the environmental risks by following International Standards.

  • Through ISO 14001, Through Risk Investigation Management (RIM) Audits.

Anti-Corruption

  • The company follow the Anti corruption policies and periodically update the members on new updates.

  • Implementation

  • Use suggestion box at factory level, members are given the contact numbers of Management level officers to contact at any time to report any kind of unusual incidents. Company does not give any room for corruption.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates anti-corruption performance.

  • Hired an Internal Auditor to audit the company performance. RIM Audits are being done in every 3 months. Senior Management visit periodically to the factory and carry out interviews with employees.

    Investigations are carried out if an information receives. If any employee involves in any kind of corruption activity the company takes punitive actions as per the HR policy.
