    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • Prosperous Capital and Assurance has been respected and maintained world recognized human rights rules and regulations inside the company and with our all stakeholders as well.
    Basically we ensure to respect fundamental and human rights which were mentioned in the country constitution. In addition to that the company bound not to violate human rights related concerns under shop and office parliament act.

    As an organization we practice to treat equally to its all staff without any disturbance.

    We try in our best to give equal opportunity to all our stakeholders and partners in every aspect. Especially those who are coming to our head office in Colombo and branch offices in different part of the country to have our services daily.

    A proper selection criteria is using for select all the beneficiaries in all over the country. We never provide financial support to any person or project to start businesses which are violate human rights or fundamental rights in the country.

    01. Proper recruitment policy is in place without any discrimination

  • The company services are ISO 9001: 2008 quality management certificated by SGS, UK. And the company received good response on “Great place to work” survey in a top category among Sri Lankan corporate sector.

Labour

  • The Prosperous Capital and Assurance recognizes and respect the right of freedom of association and collective bargaining power of employees.

    There is a clear understanding among all staff members about freedom of association. Staff members highly appreciated this culture in the company. Senior management is ready to hear voice of workers and their recommendations. Staff members feel free to create positive criticism on organization issuesAll kind of forced labor is strictly prohibited in the company. It is a one of the key ethical practice and internally develops HR policies support to maintain the requirement properly. Permanent, temporary, probation and day pay all employees feel free to work according to their job descriptions which is agreed both parties at the beginning.

    Customers have access to make any suggestions or complain to the organization. There is a customer suggestions box in each and every branch. And the branch staff provide customer feedback form to customers. Monitoring system is in place to review suggestions and complains.

Environment

  • The Prosperous Capital and Assurance implemented many activities to protect environment in the country. We aware our staff, partners and clients on environment conservation in regular basis. The company display environment related posters and sing boards in our every office including head office at Colombo.

    The company never promotes or support to environmental pollutes businesses. We closely monitor whole proses of manufacturing of products and obtain necessary government environmental approvals.
    As mentioned in principle 07 we have been undertaken many initiatives to promote environmental “do no harm” concept. We believe that it is a huge responsibility of all citizens to contribute as much as possible efforts to protect our environment for future generations. As human beans we have greater responsibility to concern about pollution in terms of sustainability of entire world too. The company understood and invest fair amount of money to environment related CSR projects.

    01. We conduct awareness programs on solid waste management for our clients.
    02. We promote organic farming.

    06. We promote home gardening without using chemicals.

  • Through our awareness our staff and majority of our clients well educated on environment conservation. They proactive about environment related activities including our tree plantation program. Each and every our beneficiary families strongly practice company tree plantation program. People try to use natural fertilizers as much as possible for their home garden program. Cultivate home garden must be one of the selection criteria’s for micro finance loans.

    The company staff demonstrates positive attitudes towards solid waste disposal in the office. In addition to that our customers are interesting to practice organic farming methods. They cultivated their home gardens without any chemical substances. This will be a great achievement of the company CSR projects.

Anti-Corruption

  • The Prosperous Capital and Assurance totally against corruption in all its forms. We are dealing transparency and ethical manner with our all partners, supplies and clients as well. We try in our best to respect and treat to our customers. The company realizes we earn profits because of them. Management of the company formulates all kinds of policies to assist its operations. Any person can get clarifications about our functions. There is nothing to hide.
