  • This is our first Communication on Progress describing our integration of implementing the UN Global Compact principles into our business. We recognize that a key requirement for participation in the UN Global Compact is the annual submission of a Communication on Progress (COP) that describes our company’s effort to implement the ten principles.
    We support public accountability and transparency, and therefor commit to report on progress within one year of joining the UN Global Compact, and annual thereafter according to the UN Global Compact COP policy.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals

  • Aros electronics goal is to influence that our employees and all our business partners respect the Universal Declaration of Human rights and environmental protection.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • Based on our commitment we have set up a Code of Conduct, available for all our suppliers, employees and partners. Our Code of Conduct complies with ISO 26000.
    In our supplier evaluation model one section is dedicated to Company Social Responsibility (CSR).
    All new employees will in the employment contract sign and state that they will respect and follow all the company policys.

  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates performance.

  • Aros electronics carry out two surveys on yearly basis, one to our employees and one to our customers. The outcome of these surveys is being used to measure our own CSR level.
    All our strategic important suppliers CSR are evaluated during our yearly supplier evaluation. The outcome of these evaluations is being used to measure our suppliers CSR level.
    All employees shall be aware that any breach or violation against Human Rights shall be reported to the management without any delay.

Labour

  • Aros electronics respect and follow the Swedish and International Labour Organization requirements on working conditions. We strive to be an equal place of work, free from any kind of discrimination. We want our employees to feel safe and positive at work and experience a work culture that enables a good balance between work and private life.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions taken by the company to implement labour policies, address labour risks and respond to labour violations.

  • Aros electronics handbook and policies state the right for collective bargaining. Our handbook covers policies concerning our employee rights and compensation and responsibilities. We assess labor related risks. We have a dedicated resource that monitors and mandates environmental and safety risks. We will continue to refine our employee handbook as needed and incorporate the UN Global Compact.

  • Measurement of outcomes

  • Aros electronics carry out two surveys on yearly basis, one to our employees and one to our customers. The outcome of employee survey is being used to measure the employee satisfaction level.
    All working related incidents and injuries are reported and measured on yearly basis.

Environment

  • Aros electronics have an environmental policy and is ISO 14001:2004 certified.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement environmental policies, address environmental risks and respond to environmental incidents.

  • In the current year we have to following main environmental targets:

    Increase the efficiency of our electric motors.
    By applying Ecodesign to meet the EU's efforts to achieve the 20% reduction of energy by 2020.
    By being able to provide our customers with engines with a high efficiency, we actively help to lower end customer's electricity consumption.

    All of the electrical motors that put on the market fr.om 1 / 1-15 shall as a minimum comply with IEC 60034-2-1 class IE2.

    Reduce our environmental footprint.
    All products put on the market fr.om 1 / 1-15 must submit the results of a life cycle analysis.
    Then, for example, there are two equivalent components to choose from, the component that has the least impact on the environment chosen.

    Phase out of lead in our production.
    ROHS directive still allows exceptions to the ban on lead. We are therefore forced to run dual, energy-consuming processes. The target is to persuade our customers to switch to lead-free products.

    Reduce electricity consumption in our production and property.
    Because of the ever growing production increases electricity consumption at a brisk pace.
    For the 5 pc electricity consumers measure the electricity consumption per month. Low power consumption should be an important part in the procurement of new production equipment.
    Our target is to eventually reverse the trend of increasing to decreasing electricity consumption.

  • Aros electronics are on monthly basis measure and follow up results of the above stated targets.

Anti-Corruption

  • Aros electronics oppose corruption, strive for competition on equal terms, promote social responsibility in the value chain and respect ownership.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement anti-corruption policies, address anti-corruption risks and respond to incidents.

  • Aros electronics have an external audit company to do four internal audits every year and the report directly submitted to the CEO.
    Our books and accounts are subjected to statutory external audit annually. These audits are used as one of the methods for identifying any suspicious payments which could be related to bribery or corrupt behavior.

  • Aros electronics has not been involved in any legal cases, rulings or other events related to corruption and bribery.
    No incidences have been reported during last year. Nevertheless, our employees are motivated to keep their eyes open and report all suspiciously cases to superior.
