  • Dear Partners,

    I am pleased to confirm that International Trading Est. again, reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions that have been implemented and how we will continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations.

    We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • International Trading Est (ITE) since its inception has adhered and supported the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. ITE has a company wide policy for all staff and associates to read the declaration and sign a paper to that effect that all clauses are fully understood and that they also will adhere to those standards.
 ITE always attempts to push all associates and partners to adhere to the GC on human rights and endeavors and to deal with this only that do.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • ITE continues to implement an open door policy on adherence to the GC human rights and any violations in the company or from our associates reporting a directly to the presidents office for review and evaluation. ITE has not had a single incident as of today. A few issues have been reported and investigated but turned out to be false statements.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates performance.

  • If an incident of a violation in Human rights is reported it is reviewed directly by the President and the legal department. if such an incident is substantiated by the relative departments, immediate action is taken to stop the action of violation and if legal action is necessary, will be taken accordingly.
 All staff and associated staff are screened and reviewed periodically for their understanding of the policies that are implemented.

Labour
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of labour rights for the company (i.e. labour rights-related risks and opportunities). Description of written policies, public commitments and company goals on labour rights.

  • ITE believes in and implements the international standards of labour. Under the ILO core conventions, ITE has made absolutely certain that all labour laws of the specific country that ITE operators in is adhered to.

    ITE believes that the right to collectively bargain is essential so that working men and women have the strength to improve their living standards, provide for their families.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions taken by the company to implement labour policies, address labour risks and respond to labour violations.

  • ITE implements an open door policy on adherence to the labour laws and any violations in the company or from our associates are reported directly tot he presidents office for review and evaluation.

    ITE reviews all applicants for the various job offereings on past performance in their relative field, potential, education, recommendations from past employers and lastly on a personal interview to asses their knowledge of the policies that the company implements and the fields ITE operates in.

  • If an incident in violation in applied labour laws is reported, it is reviewed directly by the President and the legal department. if such an incident is substantiated by the relative departments, immediate action is taken to stop the action of violation and if legal action is necessary, will be taken accordingly.

    All staff and associated staff are screened and reviewed periodically for their understanding of the policies that are implemented by ITE.

Environment
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of environmental protection for the company (i.e. environmental risks and opportunities). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on environmental protection.

  • ITE sets standards for our company and associates in the area of environmental responsibility striving to reduce our environmental impact. As their is no written policy on environment, ITE endeavours to make sure that all its staff and associates understand the impact of environment and its risk on productivity

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement environmental policies, address environmental risks and respond to environmental incidents.

  • ITE sends out periodic awareness literature to all its staff and associates to keep all up to date on the environmental risk and how all can help in reducing the risks

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates environmental performance.

  • If an incident of a violation in the environmental international policies is reported, it is reviewed directly by the President and the legal department. if such an incident is substantiated by the relative departments, immediate action is taken to stop the action of violation.

    All staff and associated staff are screened and reviewed periodically for their understanding of the policies that are implemented by ITE.

Anti-Corruption
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of anti-corruption for the company (i.e. anti-corruption risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on anti-corruption.

  • ITE implements a zero tolerance policy for corruption and all illegal forms of coercion for business.

    Full legal action within the company is taken against anyone who is involved in bribery or extortion. The UN convention against corruption and its related articles are fully adhered to and circulated to staff and associates.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement anti-corruption policies, address anti-corruption risks and respond to incidents.

  • ITE works on preventing the act of corruption prior to the onset, staff are continually reminded of the legal action and bad business practice that this involves.

    This is done by direct email and verification of understanding the impact and being involved as a company in TRACE in addition to the UN guidelines- UN convention against corruption and its related articles

  • If an incident of a violation in company policy against corruption is reported, it is reviewed directly by the President and the legal department. if such an incident is substantiated by the relative departments, immediate action is taken to stop the action of violation. and legal action is taken.
