Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals

  • As a short and in comprehensive definition ; Dortel Gumruk Musavirligi A:S ( hereafter Dortel ) declares that she accepts Universal Declaration of Human Rights and relevant international standards in her business life.

    This declaration covers all aspects of working life such as gender equality , banning of child working , fair recruitment policies ,work safety and health and job security for company's and supplier's employees.

  • Dortel ,

    - has an open grievance mechanism against any possible human rights violation in company

    - respects in principle basic human rights and tries to establish an effective framework for that purpose to be understood.

    - has no recorded any employee's complaints concerning the violation of her/his basic rights

    - has no any law süit that stems from employees , suppliers , public or other stakeholders.

Labour

  • Shortly Dortel ;

    - commit to obey basic national and international legal standards in terms of ILO Core Conventions

    - all personnel work in written and mutual-signed job contract with indefinite term

  • Implementation

  • Dortel has ;

    - an open grievance mechanism ( HR Directorate ) to obtain any complaints that may come from employees

    - since its establishment - that is nearly 55 years - there existed no forced labour , no child working and gender inequalities

    - the payments and rights are regulated according to job definition and personal qualifications , any subjective criterias are not taken into consideration for evaluations of personnel.

  • In last one year period Dortel ;

    - has increased her recruitments about 14 % and created new 14 jobs in spite of its small-sized company structure and economic stagflation

    - in order to reducing youth unemployment and contribute to increasing the qualifications and experiences of youth population Dortel signed a protokol and became a member of National Network of Global Apprenticeships Network ( GAN ).

    - as known generally ; GAN operates in line with the binding principles of other international organizations such as ILO , OECD , BIAC and OIE.

Environment

  • In principle , Dortel is totally agree to save the environment and in her limited structure - since as a small and service consultancy company - Dortel does not create any serious and hazardous outcome in business life.

    İn coming year Dortel aims to reach much more electronic data transmission with its customers and suppliers in order to reduce and diminish hard-copy paper using in commercial basis.

  • Already , Dortel has a reverse logistics mechanism for the paper and equivalent materials..All kind of industrial materials which have been using in business activities are being put into recycling by using suitable storage and relevant and authorized collectors.

  • Dortel , in the last year period ;

    - has implemented water-free Technologies in water using places in her headquarters and achieved to save water 150 Tons equivalent per year.

    - progress the Works on having ISO 27001 Quality Certificate for providing information security and decreasing paper usage

    - tries to keep the existent green Technologies in IT infrastructure for using less electricity

    - put the moving sensible detectors to appropriate places in her offices to prevent the unnecessary electricity consumption.

Anti-Corruption

  • As a custom consultancy company , Dortel is very sensitive for corruption in terms of public and private sectors' employess who takes role in that process.

    We are completely against bribe and corruption that kills the fair competition in between rivals and harms work productivity and increase the invisible costs to raise the service fees.

  • Dortel has ,

    - very strict managerial and internal audit efforts for preventing and restricting such possible actions
    - evaluates the corruption as a reason to terminate the job contract in ethical manner.

  • In last year period ; Dortel ,

    - has signed UN Convention Against Corruption ( AC ) and

    - started to participate the meetings of Transparency International ( TI ) held on several times in a year as an observer and shared the outcomes of TI's inquiries and reports.

    - is thinking on eliminating or changing some business working styles in areas that may create the suitable situaiton to vitalize corruption or that may subsidy the persons to orient that way due to lack of compact structure.
