What is the UN Global Compact Academy?

The UN Global Compact Academy is the premier learning platform for sustainable companies. It is designed to help businesses gain the knowledge and skills they need to meet their sustainability objectives, mitigate business risk and achieve long-term growth.

Available to companies engaging with the UN Global Compact at the Participant level, the Academy gives users access to:

  • Virtual Sessions: Expert-led and interactive how-to sessions designed to help companies take action within their own company for a more sustainable future
  • E-Learning Courses: E-learning tools and resources will help participants learn key concepts anytime, anywhere
  • Influencer Series: Designed to provide businesses with intimate access to some of the most prominent leaders from the United Nations and companies shaping the sustainability agenda

Who is the Academy for?

What are the scope and topics addressed by the Academy?

Delivered through a series of learning sessions taught by world-class experts and partners, the UN Global Compact Academy covers a range of topics focusing on the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact and the Global Goals

What is the format of the Academy sessions?

The UN Global Compact Academy offers a blend of expert-led and interactive how-to sessions, e-learning courses, and a series of influencer sessions of varying duration and level. The online Academy sessions are easily accessible anytime, anywhere. In the future, the Academy will expand to in-person learning opportunities, often organized during key UN Global Compact events and in collaboration with Local Networks.

How can companies access and register for the Academy learning sessions?

The Academy Learning Platform (academy.unglobalcompact.org) is a one-stop shop for your engagement with the Academy. On the platform, you will be able to enroll in sessions, access on-demand learning resources, download certificates and track your progress. Are the Academy sessions offered in multiple languages?

The Academy sessions and related learning materials are currently only offered in English. Additional languages will be available in the future.

How many representatives of a company can access the Academy?

At this time, there is no limit to the number of users per company.

What devices can I use to access the UN Global Compact Academy?

You can access the Academy Learning Platform on your desktop computer, tablet, as well as on mobile devices; however, we recommend the desktop experience for the best user experience. On mobile devices, the Academy utilizes the Docebo Go.Learn mobile app, which is available for both Android and iOS devices. You can download the application by searching for ‘Go.Learn’ in the App Store or in the Google Play Store.

How do I log in to the Academy Learning Platform?

UN Global Compact Participants can log in to the Academy Learning Platform by using their UN Global Compact Dashboard username and password. Watch this video for more information about how to log in. Is there any content that will remain open to everyone?

The Influencer Series — designed to provide businesses with intimate access to some of the most prominent leaders from the United Nations and companies shaping the sustainability agenda — will continue to be publicly available to everyone.

Can I suggest topics to be covered by the Academy?


The UN Global Compact is currently developing new Academy sessions. The sessions are developed in consultation with the UN Global Compact Expert Network and with input from UN Global Compact Participants and Global Compact Local Networks.
