Online Discussion on Human Rights Impact Assessments:
Stand-alone Human Rights Impact Assessment vs. Integration

This online discussion debated whether companies should develop stand-alone, human rights impact assessment processes, or focus on integrating human rights issues within their existing social and/ or environmental impact assessments approaches. Christine Bader, Advisor to the UN Secretary-General's Special Representative for Business and Human Rights, and Peter Frankental, Economic Relations Strategy Advisory from Amnesty International-UK, led the discussion

Human Rights Working Group Meeting: Webinar

This webinar, which was conducted as a collaboration between the Institute for Human Rights and Business and the UN Global Compact Office, previewed the results of the state of play review of human rights due diligence that the Institute is currently conducting in collaboration with 24 multinational companies. The final report is to be launched at the Global Compact Leaders Summit in June 2010.
