Case Description

Saint-Gobain believes that, as leader on the Habitat market, it has a responsibility to launch
disinterested actions at the level of the Group itself, in areas aligned with its strategy. Setting
up the international corporate foundation “Saint-Gobain Initiatives” responds to this objective.
The Foundation financially backs clearly identified actions or offers support in the form of
technical expertise for specific projects falling into one of the following three categories:
- Youth integration through work in the housing sector;
- Construction, refurbishment or renovation of social housing for general interest purposes; a
- Energy efficiency and environmental protection in social housing.
Ideally, every project is voluntarily sponsored by either a Group employee or retiree, who is
involved in assessing it and if possible monitoring its completion.
