UN Global Compact Management Model Training |

The training, following the Global Compact Management Model launched at the Leaders Summit 2010, will help signatories define a true management system for integrating corporate responsibility across the entire organization and holistically address the broad spectrum of issues which are framed in the ten principles of the Global Compact. Global Compact Local Networks Regional Meeting for Asia |

Partnering with the Philanthropic Community to Promote Education for All |

The key objective of the special event is to increase focus on issues central to the achievement of education for all. A plenary session will be followed by two panel discussions on: (a) Staying the course: Enabling access for both boys and girls to complete primary education; and (b) Promoting education and training for tomorrow's economy. The event is co-convened by the Global Compact, UNDESA, UNICEF, UNESCO, UNOP and CECP. |
Supply Chain Sustainability Advisory Group Meeting |

At the third meeting of the Advisory Group the online Self-Assessment tool, developed in collaboration by the Global Compact Office, BSR and SAP will be reviewed and finalized. The Advisory Group will also take stock on how existing tools and guidance material have been operationalized, identify exisiting gaps in implementation and will address potential future challenges. The meeting will include a factory visit as well as discussions with companies in the region.

Child Rights and Business Principles Initiative Consultation with the Corporate Sector |

This half day meeting invites European businesses to engage in discussions which will contribute to the development and finalisation of the Children’s Rights and Business Principles. The Principles, due to be launched in November 2011, will seek to provide guidance as to what business can do to minimize the potential negative impact of their business on children and maximize the positive contribution they can make to children’s lives. This session is part of an extensive multi-stakeholder consultation process across sectors and geographies and is by invitation only. |
Fourth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries – Private Sector Track |

Promoting Labour Standards through Corporate Social Responsibility: Instruments and Practices |

1st PRME Latin America Regional Meeting |
