Network Report Details How Global Compact Advanced on the Ground in Over 80 Countries

( Istanbul, 9 June 2009 ) - The United Nations Global Compact Local Network Report 2008 (pdf) was released at the VII Annual Local Networks Forum in Istanbul. Taking stock of the work of over 80 established and emerging networks around the world, the report features statistics and case examples on network governance, composition, activities, issues and communications. In addition to reviewing network growth and developments, it takes a deeper look at Local Network efforts regarding facilitation of Communications on Progress and engagement of civil society.
