(New York, 11 June 2008) – The Danish Ministry for Economic and Business Affairs has introduced a thirty-item action plan for corporate social responsibility. The Action Plan aims to ensure that the financial growth of the Danish corporate sector goes hand-in-hand with social and environmental objectives. Focusing on internationally recognized principles for corporate responsibility, the Action Plan explicitly encourages Danish companies to join the UN Global Compact. It also urges Danish investors to support the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI).
