Major Polish Industrial City Joins Global Compact

The city of Plock/Poland has pledged to adhere to the Global Compact principles and to serve as a forum for advancing responsible corporate citizenship. In joining the initiative, the city deepens its engagement with various stakeholders. The city of 130,000 inhabitants is home to various industries, including businesses in the oil, clothing, food, manufacturing and shipping sectors.

Following Bath (UK), Melbourne (Australia), Nürnberg (Germany) and Porto Alegre(Brazil), Plock is the fifth city worldwide to join the Global Compact. The city administration will work closely with the Global Compact Melbourne Committee to coordinate activities and to further ideas and expertise of the Compact’s city participants.
