Unprecedented Business Contributions to Tsunami Relief Effort

Worldwide business contributions to the tsunami relief effort have reached unprecedented levels, with financial and in-kind donations totaling several hundred million US Dollars. This is the finding of a preliminary survey conducted by the Global Compact Office on the business reaction to the devastating tsunami that hit several South Asian nations on 26 December 2004.
