The Global Compact Office is acting as a catalyst, information provider and knowledge broker for institutional reform within the UN. The Organization is currently in the process of internalizing the ten principles in
• procurement practices;
• investment management and pension fund policies;
• facilities and human resource management.
Four working groups have been established to move ideas forward in these key
areas and an Advisory Group is overseeing the process. The work undertaken
thus far is only the beginning of an organizational change process that will
likely take many years. It will require the active involvement all stakeholders,
including member States, OAHs, staff, other UN departments and other
organizations of the UN system.
