Quality Management Foundation Adopts Global Compact Principles

2003-09-25

As the first international body for quality management, the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) has adopted the Global Compact’s nine principles into the CSR guidelines of its EFQM Excellence Model, a non-prescriptive management framework currently used by over 20,000 organisations across Europe. The EFQM Excellence model covers all strategic and operational aspects of business excellence and provides tools for continuous performance assessment and reporting.

“We have naturally integrated the Global Compact principles in our framework because this integration will help enterprises to become more responsible, to better address the interests and concerns of their stakeholders, and ultimately to contribute to more sustainable business,” said Alain de Dommartin, Chief Executive Officer of EFQM.
