2. Emerging Markets Take the Lead in Promoting Sustainable Stock Exchanges
At the second global dialogue on Sustainable Stock Exchanges (8 September, Xiamen), chief executives explored how the world's exchanges could work together with investors, regulators and business to encourage responsible long-term approaches to investment. A study on the sustainability practices of world’s top 30 exchanges was launched at the event, showing that emerging market exchanges are leading in terms of implementing required sustainability disclosure and other measures to enhance corporate sustainability reporting of listed companies. 3. CEO Water Mandate Convenes Public Information Conference during World Water Week
Drawing approximately 100 attendees from the private sector, Government, civil society and other interests, the latest CEO Water Mandate public information conference (9 September, Stockholm) featured two panels, one composed of corporate endorsers of the CEO Water Mandate and the second featuring non-business stakeholders. The status of the initiative and its transparency and disclosure workstreams were discussed. More.
4. Participant Status: New Signatories, COPs and Delistings
In September, 105 companies and 39 non-business stakeholders joined the Global Compact. 29 companies were delisted for failing to communicate on progress. The largest companies (by employee number) to join during the month were: Nokia Siemens Networks (Finland), Solvay S.A. (Belgium), Bank Hapoalim (Israel), Giesecke & Devrient GmbH (Germany), Choice Hotels Scandinavia (Norway), G4S Israel - Hashmira Company Ltd (Israel), JSL Stainless Ltd. (India), Kyobo Life Insurance Co., Ltd. (Korea, Republic of), Ove Arup & Partners International Ltd (United Kingdom) and Abdi Ibrahim Ilac Sanayi ve Tic. AS (Turkey).

1. CEO Statement of Support for the Women’s Empowerment Principles
The Global Compact calls on top executives of participating companies to sign the CEO Statement of Support for the Women's Empowerment Principles, committing to advance gender equality and agreeing to use the Principles as guidance for business actions to empower women in the workplace, marketplace and community.
Download the list of companies that have endorsed the CEO Statement. To sign the Statement, please fill out the information form and return it to Lauren Gula (gulal@un.org) and Laraine Mills (laraine.mills@unifem.org).
2. Anti-Corruption Success Story Pilot Programme: Call for Expressions of Interest
The Global Compact Working Group on the 10th Principle against Corruption aims to create positive engagement with the media industry and enhance media coverage of corporate anti-corruption efforts. Through an Anti-Corruption Success Story programme, carried out in conjunction with PRME, concrete stories on what the private sector can do against corruption will be featured.

3. Low-Carbon Leaders Project: Call for Feedback
The Low-Carbon Leaders Project (LCLP), a collaboration between Caring for Climate and the World Wildlife Fund, is an open source, multi-media platform aimed at capturing and sharing transformative low-carbon solutions. LCLP has issued twelve illustrative cases and toolkits for calculating the impacts of energy efficient solutions; additionally LCLP has collected 300 examples of transformative solutions through its web platform.
LCLP welcomes Caring for Climate signatories to assess the 300 transformative low-carbon solutions, and provide their feedback. For more information and to access the mobile application to rate these solutions, please visit the LCLP website.

1. 1st Asian Forum on Principles for Responsible Management Education (5 Nov, Seoul)
– INVITATION ONLY – Convened by the PRME Secretariat and PRME Asian Forum Planning Committee. The forum will provide a platform for collaboration among leading Asian business schools, with the goals of sharing information and experiences among business schools in the region and facilitating a paradigm shift in management education toward the PRME principles.

2. World Climate Summit, (4-5 December, Cancun)
– OPEN EVENT – The Summit will convene 300 leaders from business, finance, entrepreneurship, and Governments to accelerate and collaborate on economic solutions to climate change. The Global Compact is a convening partner of the Summit, which will be held during the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP16).
