Serbia 

The Global Compact Network in Serbia was launched on 6 December 2007 at an event jointly organised by UNDP Serbia and the National Bank of Serbia.

On 10 July 2008 network participants established a semi-formal organisational structure, and adopted the Network’s organisational structure and governing policies. The Network operates through the following bodies: :

• Steering Committee (five members: Erste Bank, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, BCIF, Ernst and Young, Telenor Serbia)
• Secretariat: Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia;
• Seven working groups:

1. Social Inclusion
2. Anti-Corruption
3. CSR in Banking and Finance
4. Education and Development of CSR
5. Environment
6. Media
7. Labour rights

The mission of Global Compact Local Network Serbia is to promote the Global Compact and corporate social responsibility in Serbia and to ensure the progress of its members with respect to implementation of the ten principles of the Global Compact through: learning, partnerships, multi-stakeholder dialogue and advocacy through collective action.
