The «Forum des Amis du Pacte Mondial en France», the French Global Compact network, was officially launched on 27 January 2004 and became a formal association in May 2005. It is hosted by l’Institut de l’entreprise.
A steering committee, composed of 15 chairmen and CEOs (8 MNEs, 7 SMEs), decides on the association’s priorities and guidelines. The main tasks of the Forum are to help SMEs to write down and to implement their best practice/ CoP, to organize meetings with GC members and stakeholders, to broadcast the GC principles in France through regional platforms. The SMEs represent the vast majority of the hundreds of members.
