Human Rights and Business Dilemmas Forum

Engage in the online Dilemmas Forum

We invite you to participate in a multi-stakeholder Human Rights and Business Dilemmas Forum for multi-national corporations. The forum aims to enhance our collective understanding of human rights themes and identify practical approaches to real-world dilemmas that challenge responsible business. It also provides links to other relevant websites, resources and initiatives. The forum engages and invites feedback on practices from different stakeholders including businesses, international organisations, civil society, academics, local communities and more.

Explore themes

Explore an initial set of human rights themes relevant to your business. We provide an introduction to each theme as well as a summary of how it impacts business activities, operations and supply chains. Stakeholders are asked to comment on the significance of each theme and suggest additional dilemmas for business.

Discuss dilemmas and suggest good practices

Stakeholders can also provide feedback on a further set of key human rights and business dilemmas and company case studies that will be progressively added to the forum throughout 2009 and 2010. These include:

  • Insights on the risks to business and stakeholder viewpoints
  • A discussion of human rights that are impacted
  • Links to relevant themes
  • Further learning resources
  • Ongoing dialogue on lessons-learned, potential policies and best practice.
