The ESG Investor Briefing is a joint project of the UN Global Compact and the UN-backed Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). The project is designed to improve company-investor communications on material environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) information.
Using the ESG Value Driver Framework, developed in collaboration with Global Compact LEAD companies and PRI investors, companies have the opportunity to present to an audience of mainstream investors on ESG value drivers that are material for their business.
The initiative will conduct 10-15 briefings between July 2012 and July 2013.
The first ESG Investor Briefing was held on 30 July and was hosted by SAP AG.
At the World Economic Forum (Davos, 2013) a resources was released that provides an overview of lessons learned, and recommended next steps derived from the ESG Investor Briefing Project. Download publication: Enhancing Company-Investor Communication: Insights from the ESG Investor Briefing Project
The Global Compact and PRI encourage companies to host their own ESG Investor Briefing; interested companies should contact Danielle Chesebrough (danielle.chesebrough@unpri.org).
